Settings of the IFMLAN communicator module

In the “Settings” section the software provides the parameters for programming the IFMLAN module:

Module settings

In the section reserved for the module settings it is possible to:

  • view the address provided to the module during hardware configuration from the front panel.

  • view and change IP connection parameters (IP address, netmask, gateway, DNS server, geographic time zone, communication port and web server port).

  • Enable or disable the following options:

    • Enable mute via Web – if enabled, it is possible to mute the control panel remotely via the Web.

    • Enable reset via Web – if enabled, it is possible to reset the control panel remotely via the Web.

    • Enable SSL – option that activates the SSL protocol.

    • Read control panel status via IP – if enabled, it is possible to carry out control panel monitoring operations remotely via the Web.

Notes

Connectivity to the LAN network is subject to the configuration of the network itself.

It is therefore strongly recommended that the network administrator is contacted for the correct configuration.

The following section shows subsections for specific programming of communication protocols via Ethernet:

BACnet settings

In the section reserved for the communication protocol settings for BACnet building automation networks, the following are presented:

  • Enable BACnet – option to enable communication via BACnet protocol.

After being enabled, the following data must be filled in for communication with the provider:

  • BACnet, device name

  • BACnet, device ID

  • BACnet password

E-mail settings

In this subsection you can view and change the parameters of the e-mail user who will result the sender of the communications.

The software provides a button at the top for loading the preset of a “Google” email service account.

Dynamic DNS settings

If you have a connection with a dynamic public IP address, it is useful to use a domain name in order to be able to trace the control panel and the module at any time.

Depending on the address used, you will have access data to enter in this programming section.

NTP server settings

If the Report time to control panel option is activated, the clock of the Previdia control panel will be synchronized with the NTP protocol.

In this case, you must indicate the NTP service provider and the time interval, expresses in seconds, between two successive time updates.

SIA-IP protocol settings

If SIA-IP protocol needs to be used for communication with monitoring stations, the software provides this subsection to configure the data packets to be sent.

Web-server settings

If using a Web server, in this section you can activate control panel authentication and indicate the identification password.

ESPA444 settings

“ESPA 4.4.4” is a standard protocol for the interconnection of paging systems, PABXs and automatic fire-detection systems. This protocol allows the exchange/sending of text messages between mobile devices such as pagers, cordless telephones, etc.

In this section the communication parameters of the protocol are available.

SmartLoop log

Option that allows the transfer of the events log via serial port.

Smart485IN

The 4 checkboxes indicate which of the 4 Smart485IN boards used for connecting standardized interfaces are present on the 485 BUS.
